Please note there is no physical step-by-step pumpkin making guide in this kit. 

We use the same premium air-drying clay in our Sculpd pottery kit - it's perfectly soft, supple and easy to work into your dream candle shape. It dries a lovely light grey colour which looks beautiful when coated with our glossy fire safe varnish.

If stored unopened in the sealed bag the clay will last 3 - 6 months.

Each fragrance has been specifically chosen to suit different tastes:

   - Basil & Citrus: creates a gentle scent of sweet citrus against rustic basil with hues of jasmine.

   - Peony Rose: produces a warm earthy scent with a floral backdrop set against a contrast of citrus and royal patchouli.

   - Ginger & Orange: expect luxurious aromas of fresh orange and exotic ginger.

   - Bergamot: *new* seasonal winter scent of citrusy bergamot.

Developed especially for use with air dry clay.

Apply two or more coats over a white base coat (wait until the white is completely dry to add colour) and finish with Sculpd varnish for protection from moisture. 

The time it will take to create your candle depends on the detail of your chosen design. In our experience all creations, from starting out to finishing your final design, will take a couple of hours to make and 2-3 days to dry. 

- 1-2 hours to create your clay creation
- 48 hours to fully dry
- 1-2 hours to paint your creation and let it dry
- 15 minutes to varnish
- 2 hours to dry fully

Recyclable packaging - All packaging is 100% recyclable. Please wash out the paint and varnish bottles to remove any excess before recycling.

Low waste/ re-usable product - We hope that you create something that you love and that you'd like to keep and re-use it for a long time to come!

Environmentally friendly materials - we have sourced eco versions of essential materials where possible and have included the below environmentally friendly elements in your kit: 

-Eco soy wax
-Lead free wick
-Low VOC paints
-Varnish bottle is made from 100% sugarcane (zero plastic)

Avoiding single use plastic - instead of creating plastic tools that can only be used once and go to landfill we have chosen wooden alternatives.

Areas of improvement - we are aware there are areas of each kit that we create that we can improve and we want to be really visible with our customers on these areas to hopefully show that this is important to us and that although we are trying, we aren't perfect and we see that there is room for improvement.  

Current focus areas:
- The microwave doy bag isn't currently recyclable. We are working with suppliers to create a recyclable version, this technology is currently very limited
- The plastic tray in the paint set. We are replacing this with a cardboard tray which will be available from January 2023.
